We had four members confirmed in the room by January. The fifth seat sat empty through every rehearsal in February — by design. Casting the youngest voice is the decision that shapes a whole group, so we took our time.

YUAN — 한현수, 2006 — is the last piece. He came in on an unpaid Monday audition with a cover of a traditional folk song and a voice memo of his own lyrics, recorded on the bus from Incheon. He laughed during his own audition. Everyone in the room laughed back.

Pre-debut is 44 days out. The room is full. Chapter 01 begins.
